Overview: Through truss & trestle bridge over Gulpha Creek on Union Pacific in Hot Springs. Rock ballast west abutment has a metal number plate (408.1 - is all that is on it) fastened to it.
Location: Hot Springs, Garland County, Arkansas
Status: Open to infrequent railroad traffic
History: No builders plate found
Design: Through truss, steel girders, timber trestles. Cut stone abutment east, timber & ballast abutment west, concrete piers. Riveted unpainted structural members. Latticed verticals.
Dimensions: Length of largest span: 100 ft.
Total length: 300 ft.
Deck width: 15 ft.
Vertical clearance above deck: 20 ft.
